Strawberry Pretzel Salad

My family inhales this recipe.  I make it several times during strawberry season - so good.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

2 C. crushed, thin pretzels
3/4 C. butter, melted
2 small pkg. strawberry Jell-O (I use sugar-free)
2 C. boiling water
Approx. 2 C. diced strawberries
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
3/4 C. sugar
 8 oz. Cool Whip


Combine pretzels and butter.  Press into a 13x9" pan.  Bake 10 minutes at 350; cool.  Dissolve  Jell-O in boiling water.  Cool for 10 minutes and stir in strawberries; chill mixture for 40 minutes.  Beat cream cheese and sugar; fold in Cool Whip.  Spread over pretzel crust.  Spoon Jell-O mixture over cream cheese mixture.  Cover and refrigerate.

Sounds delicious! I'm going to try this in about a month and a half, when the strawberries are ready to pick out here.
