Homemade Dill Dip

Eli loves dill dip with pretzels and has persuaded me several times to buy the pre-made spice packets for the dip mix at various bulk stores.  Unfortunately, I've found that some of the packets contain a good bit of sugar (sugar in chocolate cake I understand; sugar in dill dip mix, I do not).  Also figuring that it has to be WAY cheaper to make my own, I did what you do these days: goggled a recipe for it.  After tweaking this one a bit, Eli and I are happy with it.  Just make sure to let it sit (preferably overnight) before serving so the flavors have time to meld.

Homemade Dill Dip

1/2 C. Miracle Whip
1 C. (8 oz.) sour cream
1 tabl. dried dill weed
1 tabl. dried minced onion
1/2 tabl. dried parsley

Combine and mix thoroughly.  Refrigerate.

I will try this! We love it with pretzels, too. But I will use real mayo because m.w. is a little more sweet. I have a big jar of our own dried dill and I'm always looking for ways to use it up!

Yes, I'm glad you mentioned mayo. I was thinking about using that next time instead of the M. Whip - that would cut out more sugar. Thanks!
