But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, who I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD. - Leviticus 26:45
And he (the LORD) remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies. - Psalm 106:45
Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. - Ezekiel 16:60
These verses remind me of God's integrity, of His faithfulness - that He keeps His word. Again and again, Scripture tells us that if God said it, He'll do it. There's great comfort in that truth - for His remembrance is to our benefit. There's also great terror in that truth for those who align themselves against God.
He that bids us to be ever mindful of the covenant no doubt will himself be ever mindful of it, the word which he commanded (and what he commands stands fast for ever) to a thousand generations.
- Matthew Henry
