Epsom salts get used around here for tub soaking and foot baths. Upon buying a bag recently, I noticed that you can purchase lavendar-scented epsom salts - for more money, of course. After lamenting this fact, M. responded by asking why I don't just make my own. Well, why not, indeed?!
I filled a Mason jar half-way with plain Epsom salts, then added 4 or 5 drops of lavendar essential oil (use good quality - it does make a difference). Fill the jar up the rest of the way with plain salts and add a few more drops. Shake and cover. Waa-laa . . .
