Used Book Finds

This lovely stack is the pile of used books I found during our long weekend in the mountains.  They come from a variety of places: some from the free shelf of the tiny library three minutes down the road from the cabin, some from a Goodwill, and the biggest portion from another library's used book sale.  We showed up at that one twenty minutes before closing time - which was perfect because the books had been reduced to $3.00 a bag!

* Great Stories Remembered - audio tape by Focus on the Family
* Farm Journal Christmas Idea Book (1956-1972) by Editors of Farm Journal
* The Trees of Christmas by Edna Metcalfe
* Potpourri Crafts: More Than 100 Fragrant Recipes & Projects for Every Room in Your House by Dawn Cusick
* Gifts & Crafts From the Garden by Maggie Oster
* Age of Opportunity: A Biblical Guide to Parenting Teens by Paul David Tripp (I already own this but when I find inexpensive copies of excellent books, I buy them to pass along to others.)
* Forever Christmas: Tasha Tudor by Harry Davis (Again, I own this one but when I come across a book by, or about, Tasha Tudor I snatch it up as they're few and far between!)
* The Case of the Beautiful Beggar by Erle Stanley Gardner (one of the old books that the Perry Mason series was based on)
* The Pursuit of Man by A. W. Tozer
* Messiah Prophecies Fulfilled by D. James Kennedy
* Hymns of the Christian Life
* Crafting with Potpourri and Other Things of Fragrance by Patricia Zunic
* Mozart's Brain and the Fighter Pilot: Unleashing Your Brain's Potential by Richard Restak, MD
* First We Have Coffee by Margaret Jensen
* I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith
* God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew (have this one, too - read it aloud to the boys several years ago - EXCELLENT!)
* Maria by Maria Von Trapp
* The Map That Changed the World by Simon Winchester
* A Basket of Herbs - Volumes 3 & 4 and 7 & 8 (Apparently the publication Herb Quarterly used to put all their articles into booklet form.  This is one of my favorite finds!)

Love all the Farm Journal cookbooks... Tasha! How lucky... If you've never read First We Have Coffee, you are going to love the family... lots of herbally/potpourrially (ha) inspiration for your garden prep... and did you hear this past week that the last of the Von Trapp children died? I think Leisel... and be sure to show and tell us more about A Basket of Herbs.
Don't you love a new high stack of book finds?!? Thanks for sharing... You always lead me into good book searches.

Lori,
Actually, when I snatched up Tasha's Forever Christmas I thought of you. Since our reading styles are so similar I just assumed you love her stuff too! Do you have this one?
