Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cups

This is the other recipe that I took to our Valentine-making gathering last week.  Little mouthfuls of goodness . . .

Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cups

20 oz. pkg. of brownie mix
16 oz. jar of maraschino cherries, halved - drain juice and reserve
1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 C. sweetened condensed milk

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, substituting cherry juice for water called for in directions.  Place paper liners in mini muffin cups; fill about half full of brownie batter.  Press a cherry half into each cup.  Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.  Remove baked cups in liners from muffin cups; let cool.  Combine chips and milk in small saucepan; stir over low heat until melted.  Remove from heat and stir in the amount of cherry juice need for frosting consistency.  Place a dollop of warm frosting on each cherry cup.  Makes about 4 dozen.
