Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls

Delightful on a cold winter's evening . . .

Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls

Dough:
1/4 C. milk
1/2 C. water
2 1/2 tabl. butter
1 large egg
2 3/4 C. flour
3 tabl. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 tsp. yeast

Filling:
3 tabl. butter, softened
1 1/2 tabl. cinnamon
1/4 C. sugar

Glaze:
1 C. 10X sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tabl. milk

Heat milk, water and butter in the microwave for about 1 minute or until very warm but not hot.  (Butter does not need to be completely melted.)  Beat the egg into the mixture.  Pour into bread machine dough pan.  Place flour in next, sprinkling it evenly over flour mixture and "sealing" it.  Add sugar and salt.  Make a small indentation in flour and pour yeast.  Turn machine to dough setting and allow it to complete cycle.  Remove dough from machine and roll into a 14x8" rectangle.  Spread with softened butter.  Mix cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle over dough.  Roll up the dough tightly.  Cut into 11 even pieces and place in a lightly greased 9" round cake pan.  (I found this size pan to be a bit too small - next time I'll use something a little larger.)  Loosely cover rolls with foil and allow to rise in a warm, draft-free place for 60-90 minutes or until rolls have doubled in size.  Preheat oven to 375.  Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cover rolls with foil after 15 minutes to avoid heavy browning.  Remove from oven.  Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then remove to rack to cool completely.  Mix glaze and top before serving.
