The Names of Jesus

Though a few days behind, I wanted to pass this along anyway.  During Advent, I like to change up my devotion time a little - switching from my daily portion of 3 Old Testament chapters, 1 New Testament chapter, a Psalm and a chapter of Proverbs.  This year I'm using a little booklet that was included in last December's Focus on the Family magazine.  It's a calendar that includes a verse or two which focuses each day of Advent on a different name of Jesus.  Also included are a few comments and/or a simple activity to do with young children.  I've adapted it slightly for my own personal use by reading and meditating on not only the highlighted verse but the rest of the passage that surrounds it.  A natural outflow is prayer - thanking and praising Him for the significance of that particular title.  Below you'll find the list of names and verses.  (It starts with December 2 as that's when Advent began last year.)
