Thank You, LORD . . .

From Caleb's 18th birthday earlier in the week -
.) that our turkey is cooked, cooled and frozen - ready for Thanksgiving
.) for the scent of pumpkin roll wafting through the house
.) for the accomplished feeling in finally getting two wreaths finished for the herb club bazaar
.) for the crisp cold yesterday afternoon as I gathered eggs, which made the toastiness of the house even more appreciated
.) for how good it is to lay down at night, feeling dog-tired but purposeful and useful
.) for the happy sound of my sister's voice on the phone recounting her boys' antics and how the conversation made my turkey picking session much more pleasant
.) for the joy of sending off a nice, fat letter to a friend - imagining the joy she'll receive from it
.) that I can depend on, and trust in, You and You will take care of me (Psalm 37:5)
.) that You have put Your teachings in our minds and written them on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33)
.) that Your plans will prevail (Proverbs 19:21)
.) that Jesus carried our sins in His body on the cross and, because of His wounds, we are healed (I Peter 3:24)
