Homemade Fudgy Brownies

Yesterday I spent all morning in the kitchen.  The results were a gallon of Iced Tea made from Black, Loose-Leaf Vanilla and Peach Tea; a double-batch of Peanut Butter Granola; and a pan of Homemade Fudgy Brownies.

In case you're in need of a chocolate fix, I include the recipe for the brownies below:

Homemade Fudgy Brownies

Preheat oven to 325 and grease a 13x9" pan.  Melt 2 C. of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 stick of butter over low.  Off heat, whisk in 1/2 C. each of white sugar and brown sugar; cool slightly.  Whisk in 4 eggs, one at a time, and 1 tsp. vanilla.  Stir in 1 C. flour and 1/2 tsp. salt.  Fold in 1 C. of semi-sweet chocolate or peanut butter chips, if desired.  Spread in pan; bake approx. 40 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean).

They are, Vicki, they are! I could never find a homemade brownie recipe I was happy with . . . until this one.
