The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen: Live Well, Laugh Often, Cook Much by Teri Edwards and Serena Thompson is definitely more than a cookbook. It's a fun compilation of gorgeous photos and charming vignettes of projects, crafts, entertaining ideas, and recipes - all presented in true Farm Chick fashion. They describe their Farm Chick philosophy in the introduction: "Farm Chicks style is neither all old nor all new; rather, it's the way we mix the two to make our homes what we love while creating a cozy environment for our families." From vintage aprons with cowboy boots to flower-filled ice cream makers to homemade scone holders to rick-rack shelf edging, these two have a style that resonates with my heart. And their recipes for breakfast, appetizers, lunch and dessert have my mouth watering! I'm looking forward to tracking down a copy of their Christmas book next . . .
