An Indian Summer Supper

Indian Summer is in full bloom this week.  Cool nights, warm days.  Yesterday's sunny afternoon was an opportune time to get another mum planted and daffodil bulbs into the ground before supper preparations.

Menu:
Chicken Stir-Fry
Tossed Salad with Croutons on the side
Blueberry Muffins
Homemade Applesauce - a bowl of warm and a bowl of chilled
Chocolate Picnic Cake with Hot Coffee

We had friends for supper last night - what an incredibly encouraging time of fellowship.  These two live out the Gospel - sharing God's mercy and love with the outcasts of our society.  Their passion and compassion for others is an awesome example of God's grace.  And their lives are all about Him.  What an amazing time we had sitting around the table talking of God's goodness, of the depths of His wisdom and the heights of His love.

And what a greater joy it will be, to one day sit around an even bigger table in our true Home and do the exact same thing.
