Waffled French Toast

Made this on Sunday morning, and we definitely liked the texture better than typical French toast.  A keeper -

Waffled French Toast

1/2 C. milk
4 eggs
1 tabl. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tabl. butter, melted
8-10 slices bread

Preheat waffle iron and spray with Pam.  In a shallow bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar and salt, then add melted butter.  Dip bread slices, one at a time, into egg mixture, and drain.  Bake in waffle iron 2 to 3 minutes, until brown.

Mmm, this sounds good. Does your waffle maker make round or square waffles? Mine makes round, but I think this would work.

Mine's a square waffle maker but I bet your round one would work.
