Mom and I are on a mission. That is, to visit all 13 libraries in our county system. Thursday afternoon we hit another one to bring our total count up to 7. When we explained our project to the librarian, she asked if we were building our own library. We laughed and said no. We're just having a blast and hauling books out of each library bags at a time. Since you can renew books twice - meaning you can have them for 6 weeks total - we get a lot of mileage out of our visits. And seeing that the two of us read like gang-busters, we can polish off quite a pile between us in no time. Actually, Thursday was the first time I pulled the van up to the front of the library and loaded our bags just like I do groceries. I've got to remember that technique for next time - it saves my arms and back!
In the meantime, here's a list of the books I brought home:
* Stories Behind the Best-Loved Songs of Christmas by Ace Collins
* Family Traditions: Celebrations for Holidays and Everyday by Elizabeth Berg
