Sweet Strawberry Shortcake

Last week one evening, a friend delivered a pan of her delicious Strawberry Shortcake here to the farm for our supper.  Her thoughtfulness made it taste doubly good . . .

Sweet Strawberry Shortcake

1/2 C. butter
1 C. sugar (can use less)
3 eggs
2 C. flour
1 tabl. baking powder
1 C. milk

Cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and beat.  Mix in flour, baking powder and milk.  Mix well and pour into greased pan.  Bake at 350 until done.  (Recipe makes one round pan or 8" square pan.  For 13x9" pan, use 1 1/2x recipe.)  Serve with strawberries and milk.
