Old Shows

Though our family doesn't watch commercial television, we DO enjoy watching old TV shows on DVDs. We've gathered a collection of shows from the '50s and '60s that we like - I Love Lucy; The Andy Griffith Show; Wild, Wild West; Hogan's Heroes; Get Smart; and Green Acres. We also have a large collection of The Lone Ranger episodes on videos. Our DVD collection has been slowly gathered from Amazon.com and our local Target store.

We have a couple episodes of Ozzie and Harriet, but I'd like to get a season of those sometime soon. They don't make 'em like these "oldie but goodies" any more!

Our family LOVES old movies, like from the mid 30's to the mid 50's. I agree, they don't make 'em like they used to.

Like you, we enjoy old TV shows as well. Our current favorites are Perry Mason and The Big Valley. Sadly, The Big Valley (which was a favorite of mine growing up) only has 1 1/2 seasons out on DVD. We keep hoping they will put the rest of them out, as we want to own the entire 4 years.

The Fugitive is the latest old TV show that we are going to watch. We have the first several episodes (season 1/Disc 1) waiting for us at the library.

Definitely, like your family, we love these oldies but goodies.

Have a lovely day, Julie.

Love,
Patti

Patti,
My mom told me recently that she bought some DVDs of the old Perry Mason show. Your comment reminded me to ask her if we can borrow them. Thanks!
