Music for Your Homeschool

A simple and easy way to incorporate music into your homeschooling is to visit your local library. Most libraries have a selection of CDs of various types of music. Borrow a stack and play it in the background during meals to introduce your children to a variety of music. This week the boys have heard The Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, Perry Como, and George Winston who plays piano renditions of Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown music. (I even caught Eli dancing to Perry Como's crooning!)

Hi,

Do you happen to live near the Little League field? We passed a road called Skunk Hollow Rd. and my thoughts turned to you. We were there yesterday for the series. Just wondering!

We love our library system. We can find most anything we want, and what we can't, they usually can get through inter-library loan. In fact, my daughter just received a book from the Brooklyn, New York library.

Anyhow, we've gotten interested in the big band sounds of Glenn Miller and the Dorsey Brothers. Our library has a huge supply that we are currently enjoying.

Blessings,
Patti

Hi, Ladies - thanks for your comments!
Ruth - nope, that isn't OUR Skunk Hollow - it was interesting to find out that there IS another one!
Patti - you put me in the mood for Glenn Miller, I'll have to pull out my CD this afternoon and listen to it while I write up schoolwork for the week!
Blessings,
Julie
