One of my favorite hostess gifts to give is a wide-mouth canning jar filled with flowers from the garden or store - sometimes with a ribbon around the middle, sometimes without. This lovely arrangement was given to me by a friend I saw yesterday that's filled with flowers from her gardens. It sure makes the kitchen where it now sits brighter -
