High Tea

My mother, sister and I spent the afternoon enjoying High Tea at a local tea house. Thought you might enjoy reading our mouth-watering menu:

* Ambrosia Fruit Cup
* House Salad (see photo below)
* Rosemary & Thyme Scones and Apricot Scones with Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam
* Country Mushroom Soup or Meatball Pasta Soup
* Cucumber & Lemon Pepper, Seafood Salad, and Date & Walnut Tea Sandwiches
* Coconut Cream Cake or White Raspberry Mousse (photos next week)
* Springtime Tea and a Cinnamon Vanilla Tea

Delicious!

How delightful! I love the whole ceremony of tea. It takes me back to a simpler time.

Having said that, I'm also a diehard coffee drinker!

Sounds delish. I love going out for afternoon tea or High Tea as we call it. It reminds me when I was a wee girl and for a treat we would go to a local shop where they brought out the cakes on a trolley. Now Glasgow has gone all chic and we serve champagne too. Now I love champagne but I just love the old fashioned afternoon tea more!
